Co-Ed Rec Volleyball
2025 South County Athletic Association (SCAA) Co-Ed Recreation Spring Volleyball is back!
The Recreation Division of SCAA is a developmental league for players with varying skill levels. Based on grade, the players will be divided into two leagues: the Pony League (4th- 5th grade) and the Mustang League (6th- 8th grade).
The SCAA Rec Spring League will run from Mid March - Mid June, with registration opening on January 13th at 12pm EST.
THERE ARE LIMITED SPOTS - teams will be created based on date of registration submission AND player availability! For this reason, please make sure to include an accurate representation of your child’s availability in your registration. Also, we will not accommodate requests for friends to be on the same team this season.
The cost to play is $210. If you are purchasing a new jersey there will be a $25 charge added to your registration. Each team will have one game and one practice per week (Monday – Friday). The tentative game and practice schedules for the Pony and Mustang leagues are below:
*Disclaimer: we have submitted requests for permits from the county, but unfortunately we do not find out if they are granted until right before the season. We have created a schedule, but that will only work if we are granted all the permits. We cannot stress enough the importance of selecting the appropriate availability during your registration!
If you have questions, please email the Volleyball Commissioner.
Girls Travel Volleyball
This season, SCAA Spring Travel volleyball (aka Stallion League) will have two teams coached by Coach Jahnessa Hill and Coach Brandy Stephens!
The Stallion League of SCAA is an advanced girls-only middle school (grades 6-8) league for higher-skilled players to compete with other teams across Fairfax County.
The SCAA Stallion League will run from mid-March to the end of May with one game (Wednesdays) and one practice per week (Monday – Friday depending on granted permits). Registration opens on January 13th at 12pm EST., and tryouts will be announced/emailed once scheduled. The cost to play travel is $450 per player!
Registration is a sign-up to tryout ONLY. There is no cost at this time. However, if an athlete is offered a travel team spot and accepts, payment will be due immediately.
*Disclaimer: If a girl does not make the Stallion League, she is not automatically enrolled into the Mustang League. It is highly recommended to sign your daughter up for the Mustang League now, and also sign her up for the travel tryout. Then, if she does not make the Stallion League, she already has secured a spot in the Mustang League. If she does make the Stallion League, then we will apply the Rec registration fee towards your travel fee.
If you have questions, please email the Volleyball Commissioner.
