Announcement: Accepting Nominations for SCAA Flag Football Commissioner
SCAA is excited to announce that we are now accepting nominations for the position of Flag Football Commissioner. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to lead our flag football program and make a significant impact on our community.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Program Management:
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the flag football program.
Ensure that the program aligns with SCAA’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-organized program.
2. Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for players, parents, coaches, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate clear and effective communication within the program and with the SCAA Board.
Provide regular updates on program status, achievements, and areas for improvement.
3. Coaching and Player Development:
Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches to ensure they are well-prepared and effective.
Promote and implement best practices for player development and safety.
Organize clinics, workshops, and other development opportunities for coaches and players.
4. Scheduling and Event Coordination:
Develop and maintain the season schedule, including practices, games, and special events.
Coordinate field usage, equipment needs, and other logistical aspects of the program.
Plan and execute end-of-season events and other program-related activities.
5. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the program budget, ensuring responsible use of funds.
Work with the SCAA Treasurer to track expenses and revenues.
Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities to support the program’s financial health.
6. Marketing and Community Engagement:
Develop and implement strategies to promote the flag football program within the community.
Increase program visibility and participation through marketing efforts and community outreach.
Foster positive relationships with local schools, businesses, and other organizations.
7. Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all SCAA policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the program.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the SCAA Board.

Resume: Detailing your professional and volunteer experience.
Vision Statement: A brief statement (1-2 pages) outlining your vision for the flag football program, including ideas for growth, development, and community engagement.
